HomeMy WebLinkAbout1833ORDINANCE NO. ) V ✓3 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash- ington establishing a special checking account to be known as the City of Kent Witness Fee Clearing Account, providing for payments into and disbursements from the account and designa- ting the City Attorney as the person authorized to issue checks against the account. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. There is hereby established a special check- ing account to be known as the City of Kent Witness Fee Clearing Account. Section 2. Funds in the account shall be used solely for the payment of witness fees and mileage allowance authorized by the Court for witnesses who have testified in the Kent Depart- ment, Aukeen District Municipal Court. Section 3. Funds shall be deposited into the account on a monthly basis upon presentation of a statement from the Clerk of the Court. The amount deposited monthly shall be only that amount necessary to cover payment of fees and mileage allowances in ac- cordance with the statements from the Court. Section 4. The City Attorney is hereby designated as the individual with sole authority to issue checks against the account. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub- lication as provided by law.
