AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, creating a special fund to be known
as the Central Business District Project Fund,
making an initial appropriation to the Fund and
providing for future appropriations to the Fund,
and providing for administration of the Fund
through the City Administrator's office.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby created a special fund of
the City of Kent to be known as the Central Business District
Project Fund, hereinafter called "the Fund".
Section 2. There is hereby appropriated to the Fund
from monies received by the City of Kent as Federal Revenue
Sharing, the sum of FIFTEEN THOUSAND (15,000) DOLLARS. The Fund
may receive appropriations in the future in the same manner as any
other fund of the City.
Section 3. The Fund shall be administered through the
office of the City Administrator and shall be used for payment of
necessary and proper expenditures in furtherance of the City
Council's adopted goals and policies of strengthening and vitali-
zing the Central Business District of the City of Kent for the
benefit and enjoyment of all the citizens of the City. Such ex-
penses shall include but not be limited to payment of approved
fees and expenses for a project manager and/or consultant, pre-
paration of grant applications for funding assistance from other
governmental agencies, providing suitable space for a project
office and/or public information and referral center, and such
other expenses which in the opinion of the City Administrator
are both reasonable and necessary in furtherance of the above
stated policies and goals.

Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided by law.
