HomeMy WebLinkAbout1828ORDINANCE NO. I 21 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash- ington, amending Sections 8 and 12 of Ordi- nance 686 relating to Carnivals. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 8 of Ordinance 686, previously amended by Ordinance 940, and which reads as follows: "CIRCUSES, CARNIVALS, SIDESHOWS. The minimum license fee for any circus, carnival, sideshow, or other similar entertainment or business shall be the sum of four hundred dollars, and in addition, the sum of one hundred dollars per day for each day or portion thereof over four that the business operates within the City." is hereby amended to read as follows: "CIRCUSES AND SIDESHOWS. The minimum license fee for any circus, or sideshow, or other similar entertainment or business shall be the sum of four hundred dollars, and in addition, the sum of one hundred dollars per day for each day or portion thereof over four that the business oper- ates within the City." Section 2. Section 12 of Ordinance 686 which reads as follows: "CARNIVALS. The license fee for carnivals and entertainment of like nature shall be twenty-five dollars per day." is hereby amended to read as follows: "CARNIVALS. The license fee for carnivals offering amusement rides only shall be twenty- five dollars per year." -1- Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub- lication as provided by law.
