ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, providing for the condemnation and
acquisition of certain land in the City of
Kent for the purpose of improving and widen-
ing Central Avenue South from Willis Street
to Green River, a public highway in, the City
of Kent, and providing for payment for said
land.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Attorney for the City of Kent
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to purchase and/or
institute and prosecute to determination in the Superior Court of
the State of Washington, in the County of King, an action in the
name of the City of Kent for condemnation and acquisition of the
following described land, situated in the City of Kent, County of
King, State of Washington, for the purpose of the widening and im-
proving of Central Avenue South from Willis Street to Green River,
a public highway in the City of Kent, to -wit:
PARCEL 3. (Thornton) That portion of lot 10,
B ock 4, Kent ddition, recorded in Volume 2
of Plats, page 165, King County, Washington
defined as follows. Beginning at the southwest
corner of said lot; thence east along the south
line of said lot to the west margin of State
Avenue. (also known as South Central) being the
true point of beginning; thence northwesterly
along said margin to a point on the north line
of said lot; thence southerly to a point on
the south line of said lot which lies 7 feet
west of said margin; thence east a distance of
7 feet to the true point of beginning. TOGETHER
WITH an easement to cut, fill and store for
public rights-of-way over the following described
property: That portion of the following de-
scribed property lying Easterly of the following
described line, EXCEPTING therefrom any existing
public right of way: Beginning at a point on the
South line of Lot 10 which is 10 feet from the
Southeast corner thereof; thence Northerly to
a point on the North line of Lot 10 which is 5
feet from the Northeast corner thereof; thence

Northeasterly to a point on the East line of
Lot 7 which is 20 feet from the Southeast
corner thereof, and the terminus of said line
description.
Lots 7, and 10, Block 4, Kent, according to
plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 165,
in King County, Washington; EXCEPT that portion
conveyed to the City of Kent for road purl}osea
under Auditor's File No. 813316.
PARCEL 5. (Gandler) The east 6 feet of lots
12 and 131 Block 5, Kent Addition, recorded in
Volume 2 of Plats, page 165, King County, Wash-
ington, and that portion of lot 14 in said
block of said plat defined as follows: Be-
ginning at the southeast corner of lot 14;
thence west along the south line thereof 6
feet; thence north parallel with the east line
of said lot 14 to a point which lies 7 feet
south of the north line of said lot 14; thence
northwesterly to a point on the north line of
said lot 14 which lies 13 feet west of the
northeast corner of said lot 14; thence east
along the north line of said lot 14 a distance
of 13 feet to said northeast corner; thence
south along said east line to the point of
beginning.
PARCEL 6. (Lanway) The east 6 feet of Lots
10 and 11, Block 5, Kent, according to plat
recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 165, in
King County, Washington.
PARCEL 7. (McCaughan) That portion of Lots
8 and 9, Block 5, Kent Addition recorded in
Volume 2 of Plats, Page 165, King County,
Washington defined as follows: Beginning at
the Northeast corner of said Lot 9; thence west
along the north line of said Lot 9 a distance
of 6 feet; thence south parallel with the east
line of said lots to a point which lies 15 feet
north and 21 feet west of the southeast corner
of said Lot 8; thence in a southwesterly direc-
tion to a point on the south line of said Lot 8
which lies 21 feet west of said southeast corner;
thence east 21 feet to said southeast corner;
thence north along the east line of said lots
to the point of beginning.

at the southeast corner of said lot 3; thence
west along the south line of said lot 3 a
distance of 6 feet; thence north parallel
with the east lines of said lots 2 and 3 to
a point which lies 20 feet south of the north

direction to a point on the north line of said
lot 2 which lies 21 feet west of the northeast
corner of said lot 2; thence east 21 feet to said

6 and 7, Block 61 Kent, according to plat re-
corded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 165, in King
County, Washington.
PARCEL 10. (Crain) The east 6 feet of the
following described property. Lot 10 and
the north 10 feet of Lot 11, Block 6, Kent,
according to plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats,
page 165, in King County, Washington.
PARCEL 11 (Playford) The east 6 feet of the
following described property. South 50 feet
of Lot 11 and all of Lot 14, Block 6, Kent,
according to plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats,
page 165, in King County, Washington.
PARCELS 12, 13, 14. (Turner) The east 6 feet
of the following described property. That
portion of the Samuel W. Russell Donation Claim
#41 described as follows. Beginning at the south-
west corner of the plat of Kent according to
Plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, Page 165,
King County, Washington. Thence south 0°50'00"
east along the east line of the Northern Pacific
Railway Company right of way a distance of 507
feet; thence north 88°07'00" east to the west
line of the Kent Auburn Highway; thence north
along said west margin a distance of 507 feet
more or less to the south line of said plat;
thence west along the south line of said plat
to the point of beginning.
TOGETHER WITH an easement to cut, fill and store
for public rights of way over the following de-
scribed property: The west 1 foot of the East
7 feet of the following described property.
That portion of the S. W. Russell Donation Claim
No. 41, described as follows. Beginning at the
Southwest corner of the plat of Kent according
to Plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 165,
King County, Washington; thence South 0150'00" East
along the East line of the Northern Pacific
Railway Company right of way a distance of 507
feet; thence North 88107'00" east to the West
line of the Kent -Auburn Highway; thence North
along said West margin a distance of 507 feet
more or less to the South line of said plat; thence
West along the South line of said plat to the
point of beginning.

to be found within that certain map of definite
location now of record and on file in the office
of the Director of Public Works at Kent, Wash-
ington.

line to the center of a county road; thence south
88055' west 458.30 feet along the center of said
county road to its intersection with State Road
No. 5; thence south 89°29'west 30.12 feet to the
west boundary of State Road No. 5; thence north
5°53' west 15.06 feet parallel to and 30 feet
from the center of State Road No. 5 to the true
point of beginning of the tract herein described;

following described line. Beginning at a point on the
north line of said Lot 4 which lies 10 feet east of the
east margin of South Central being the true point of be-
ginning of line herein described; thence southerly in a
straight line to a point on the south line of said Lot 4
which lies 9 feet east of said margin; thence continuing
southerly in a straight line to a point on the south line
of said Lot 5 which lies 6 feet east of said east margin
and the terminus of line herein described.

the following described property. Lots 1, 4 and 5,
Block 8, Kent, according to plat recorded in Volume 2
of Plats, page 165, in King County, Washington.
PARCEL 41. (Mostoller) The west 10 feet of the fol-
lowing described property. Lots 8 and 9, Block 8, Kent,
according to plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page
165, TOGETHER WITH that portion of vacated alley adjoining
that attaches by operation of law.
PARCEL 42. (Sorenson) The west 6 feet of the following
described property. Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14, Block 8,
Kent, according to plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats,
page 165, in King County, Washington: TOGETHER WITH the
north half of vacated Morton Street adjoining said Block
8 on the south; AND That portion of the east half of the
Alley in Block 8 of Kent, according to plat thereof re-
