AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, establishing procedures for release
of surety bonds by the Kent Board of Adjust-
ment and Kent Planning Commission.
WHEREAS, the Kent Board of Adjustment currently has the
authority and the Kent Planning Commission may in the future have
the authority to require the posting of surety bonds to insure
compliance with conditions imposed in approving applications, and
WHEREAS, there is presently no established procedure
for releasing said bonds when the conditions have been satisfied,
NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Kent Board of Adjustment and the Kent
Planning Commission are hereby granted the authority to authorize
release of surety bonds when the conditions imposed and secured
by the bonds have been satisfied.
Section 2. The authority to release surety bonds may
be delegated by the Chairman of either the Board of Adjustment or
Planning Commission; PROVIDED, however, that the authority shall
be delegated only to the Planning Director or his designated re-
presentative.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication, as provided by law. 1
