AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington amending the 1972 Budget for Transfers
and Adjustments made to various budgets during
1972.
Section 1. The reasons for changes in budgets are as
follows:
Increase Decrease
(A) EQUIPMENT RENTAL $37,000.00
RESERVE FOR EQUIP-
MENT - EQUIPMENT
RENTAL. $(37,000.00)
To record transfer funds
from the equipment re-
serve back to the parent
fund in order to purchase
the budgeted equipment.
(B) ARTERIAL STREET - REVENUE $ (38,000.00)
ARTERIAL STREET - EXPENSE (38,000.00)
To delete both the revenue
and expense associated with
placing traffic signals -
due to the State installing
them at Fourth and State
and Fourth and Smith Streets
and deducting their cost
from our gas tax revenue.
(C) CURRENT EXPENSE - POLICE
CURRENT EXPENSE - FIRE
LEFF DISABILITY FUND
To transfer unexpended
salary amount to LEFF
Disability Fund to cover
disability payments made
in 1972.

for the PEP Summer hires
who were 100% funded.

Bike Trails, which by
new state statute must
be accounted for in the
Street Fund.

Section 2. This Ordinance is necessary for the pro-
tection of public health, public safety, public property, or pub-
lic peace and shall be immediately effective upon adoption.
