ington, providing for the condemnation and
acquisition of cert,-ii.n Lind in the City of
Kent for 'the purpose of iwprovi_ng and widen-
ing Central Avenue South from Willis Street
to Green River, a public highway in the City
of Kent, and providing for payment for said
land.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01, KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN? AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. hliat the City Attorney for the City of Kent
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to purchase and/or
institute and prosecute to determination in the Superior Court of
the State of Washington, in the County of King, an action in the
name of the City of Kent for condemnation and acquisition of the
following described land, situated in the City of Kent, County of
King, State of Washington, for the purpnse of the widening and im-
proving of Central avenue
_-- ,_,Doth from Willis Street to Green River,
a public highway in the City of Kent, to -wit:
PARCEL 1. (Deeny) 'I'hat portion -of lot 3, block 4,
Kent Aciditi on, recorded in \7ol 2 of plats, page
165, King County, Washington, beginning at the
southwest corner of said lot 3; thence east along
the south line thereof to a point on the westerly
margin o` South State Avenue (AKA) South Central
Avenue beina the true noint of beginning of pro-
perty herein described; tlience west along said
south line a distance of 2 feeet; thence in a
northerly direction in a straictllt line to a
point on said westerly margin; which lies 31

the properties specially benefited by the improvement, and from

Section 4. Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed
as a waiver by the City of Kent of its right to decline to take
and to pay for said land after the amount of damages has been
ascertained and within the time allowed by law.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
