AN ORDINANCE authorizing an agreement
with the Kent-Kaibara Town Affiliation Com-
mittee for special services to promote mutual
understanding between the two cities.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are here-
by authorized to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City
an agreement providing for special services to promote mutual
understanding and to maintain a cooperative effort between the
two cities. Said agreement shall begin January 1, 1972, and shall
continue from year to year thereafter, provided that said agree-
ment shall be subject to termination upon sixty (60) day written
notice by either party. Compensation for such services rendered
by the Kent-Kaibara Town Affiliation Committee shall be the sum
of FIVE HUNDRED (500) DOLLARS per year payable on the 1st day of
January upon presentation to the City of a certified statement of
estimated expenditures for the year.
Section 2. Any action taken pursuant to the authority
and prior to the effective date of this ordinance is hereby rati-
fied and confirmed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication, as provided by law.
