HomeMy WebLinkAbout1737ORDINANCE NO. 1 37 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash- ington, authorizing the City to incur an in- debtedness in an amount not to exceed THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND (300,000.00) DOLLARS funded by the issuance of general obligation bonds of the City for the expansion and improve- ment of the Kent City Library, including ac- quisition of property for necessary off-street parking; and providing for submission of the Ordinance to the voters for approval. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City of Kent is hereby authorized to in- cur an indebtedness in the amount of not to exceed THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND (300,000.00) DOLLARS, funded by the issuance of general obligation bonds of the City of Kent, for the purpose of enlarging and improving the existing Kent City Library and acquiring neces- sary property for off-street parking to service the Library. Section 2. This Ordinance shall be submitted to a vote of the people for approval or rejection at a special election to b held on November 2, 1971, and shall not take effect unless ratifie by three-fifths (3/5) of the voters voting at said special electio Section 3.
