ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, creating a Public Library Cumulative
Reserve Fund and providing for transfer of
money to said fund from other City funds and
for allocation of money to said fund by bud-
getary appropriation.
WHEREAS, the 1967 Budget of the City of Kent contained
an item of $5,000.00 designated, "Library Cumulative Reserve Fund",
and
WHEREAS, said sum of money was appropriated and placed
into a special account under the supervision of the City Treasurer,
and
WHEREAS, by inadvertence, no Library Cumulative Reserve
Fund as such was authorized by ordinance, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby created a special fund of the
City of Kent to be known as the Library Cumulative Reserve Fund.
Section 2. Monies may be transferred into said fund from
any other pertinent City fund, upon motion of the City Council dul
made and passed by a majority of its members present at any regula
or special City Council meeting.
Section 3. Monies may also be allocated to the fund by
budgetary appropriation in the same manner as monies are budgeted
from any other fund of the City.
Section 4. Monies may also be received into the fund by
means of private donations such as gifts, bequests and devises.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
