ORDINANCE NO. t `3
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, declaring an intention to annex the
City of Kent to the Metropolitan Municipality
of Seattle and requesting concurrence in said
annexation by resolution of the Metropolitan
Municipality of Seattle.
WHEREAS, RCW 35.58.530, Laws of the State of Washington,
)rovides that any territory contiguous to a metropolitan municipal
corporation and lying wholly within an incorporated city may be
annexed to a metropolitan municipal corporation by ordinance of the
Legislative body in such city or town requesting such annexation,
and
WHEREAS, the annexation of the City of Kent to the Metro-
?olitan Municipality of Seattle will be conducive to the welfare
and benefit of the persons and property within.the corporate limits

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
)RDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Kent declares its intention to
annex to the Metropolitan Municipality of Seattle.
Section 2. The territory to be annexed to the Metro-
?olitan Municipality of Seattle shall include all of the area withil
:he corporate limits of the City of Kent.
Section 3. The Metropolitan Municipality of Seattle is
_,equested to adopt a resolution as provided in RCW 35.58.530, Laws
3f the State of Washington, concurring in said annexation.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
Eorce five (5) days after its passage, approval and publication
is provided by law.
