ORDINANCE NO. /00
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, creating the L.E.F.F., Disability
Leave Fund, and providing for transfer of
money into said fund from other City funds
and for allocation of money to said fund by
budgetary appropriation.
WHEREAS, the L.E.F.F. pension system is now in effect
and requires that police and firefighters on disability leave be
paid their full salary by the City during the first six months of
their disability, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby created a special fund of
the City of Kent to be known as the "L.E.F.F. Disability Leave
Fund".
Section 2. Monies may be transferred into said fund
from any other pertinent City fund, upon motion of the City Council
duly made and passed by a majority of its members present at any
regular or special City Council meeting.
Section 3. Monies may also be allocated to the fund by
budgetary appropriation in the same manner as monies are budgeted
for any other fund of the City.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
