AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Washington,
adopting by reference that certain Code known as
"Uniform Building Code - Volume IV - Dangerous Buildings,
1967 Edition"; providing for the filing of three copies
thereof with the Kent City Clerk; and providing that said
Volume IV of said code will prevail in cases of conflict
with that certain Code known as "Uniform Building Code, 1967
Edition, Volume I."
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
JLLOWS :
Section I. There is adopted upon the effective date of this
Ordinance and upon the filing of three (3) copies of the following des-
cribed Code in the office of the Kent City Clerk, that certain Code known
as the "Uniform Building Code - Volume IV - Dangerous Buildings, 1967
Edition" for the purpose of providing minimum requirements for, the pro-
tection of life, limb, health, property, safety, and welfare of the
general public and the owners and occupants of all buildings within the
City Limits of the City of Kent. Said Code is hereby adopted and incorp-
orated herein as fully as if set out at length herein.
Section 2. In cases of conflict between that certain code known
as "Uniform Building Code, 1967 Edition, Volume I" (see Kent City Ordinance
No. 1631, Section 2, January 5, 1970) and that certain Code known as the
"Uniform Building Code - Volume IV - Dangerous Buildings, 1967 Edition",
the provisions of the latter Code will prevail.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)
days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by
law.
