ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, reducing the posted speed limit
from 35 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour
on 94th Avenue South from South 240th to the
north Kent city limits and from South 240th
to the South Kent city limits; ordering the
City Traffic Engineer to supervise the place-
ment of appropriate 25 miles per hour speed
limit signs on said street; and imposing
penalties and fines for violations of the
terms of this ordinance.

9 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
10 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. From the effective date of this ordinance
11 the posted and legal speed limit on the following described street
12 located within the city limits of the City of Kent, Washington
13 shall be reduced from 35 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour,
to -wit:
14 94th Avenue South from South 240th to the north
15 Kent city limits and -from South 240th to the
south Kent City limits.
16 Section 2. Upon the effective date of this Ordinance
17 the City Traffic Engineer shallsupervise the placement of
18 appropriate "25 mile per hour speed limit" signs on said street.
Section 3. Violation of the speed limit as called for
19 in this ordinance may result in a conviction leading to a jail
20 sentence of up to ninety (90) days and/or a fine of up to
21 Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) or by both such fine and
imprisonment.

Section 4. This shall take effect and be in
23 force five days from and after its passage, approval and
24 publication as provided by law.
