3 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and
zoning for land use and development in the
4 City of Kent, Washington, and zoning pursuant
to Kent City Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,
5 certain land annexed to the City of Kent as
unzoned as R-4 (Multiple Dwelling Zoning
6 District) zone and C-3 (General Commercial
Zoning District) zone:

8 WHEREAS, certain land hereinafter described was annexed
to the City of Kent unzoned, and
9 WHEREAS, as required by Kent City Ordinance No. 1071,
10 as amended, the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington,
11 after referral to and study by the Planning Commission of the
12 City of Kent, recommended that said land be zoned as hereinafter
set forth, and '
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent did
14 upon the 5th day of January, 1970 hold a public hearing on said
recommendation insofar as they related to said certain land, said
15
public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, and
16 WHEREAS, it is found that said original zoning is in
17 the best interests of the health, welfare and morals of the
citizens of the City of Kent and is consistent with the comprehen-
18
sive plan of-the City of Kent and consistent with good planning,
19 NOW, THEREFORE,
20 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The following described land, .situated in
22 the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and
23 presently unzoned, more particularly described as follows:
The West 203.68 feet of the South 314.76
24feet of Tract 4, R. O. Smith's Orchard Tract
to Kent
25
26 is hereby zoned as R-4 (Multiple Dwelling Zoning District) zone,
and
27 Tract 4, R. 0. Smith's Orchard Tract to Kent
28 EXCEPT the West 203.68 feet of the South
314.76 feet of Tract 4
29 is hereby zoned as C-3 (General Commercial Zoning District)

Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the

comprehensive planning map of the City of Kent, or upon an addendum

thereto, the zoning of said property as provided for in Section 1
