AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, confirming the acquisition of
certain property for the Kent City Jail -
Aukeen District Court site.
THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Kent does confirm the purchase
and acquisition of the following described real estate situated in
the County of King, State of Washington:
Parcel A•
Tract 24 of Horseshoe Acre Tracts, as per plat recorded in
Volume 15 of Plats, on page 10, records of King County;
EXCEPT the West 6 feet thereof conveyed to the City of Kent for
South Central Avenue, by deeds recorded under Recording Nos.
730425-0011, 730425-0012 and 730425-0013;
AND EXCEPT the South 50 feet thereof except the West 445 feet;
Situate in the City of Kent, County of King, State of
Washington.
Parcel B•
That portion of the S.W. Russell Donation Land Claim in Section
25, Township 22 North, Range 4 East W.M., described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the East Valley Highway with
the North line of Tract 24 of Horseshoe Acres;
thence North parallel with the East line of the East Valley
Highway, 160 feet;
thence East parallel with the North line of Tract 24 of
Horseshoe Acres, 182 feet;
thence South parallel to the East line of the highway, 160
feet; thence West 182 feet to the point of beginning;
EXCEPT the West 6 feet thereof conveyed to the City of Kent for
South Central Avenue, by deeds recorded under Recording Nos.
730425-0011, 730425-0012 and 730425-0013;
Situate in the City of Kent, County of King, State of
Washington.
for the Kent City Jail - Aukeen District Court site.
Section 2. In conjunction with the acquisition of the
property identified in Section 1 above, the City grants to King
County an undivided one-half interest in the subject property
subject to future division.
Section 3. The Mayor is authorized to execute all
documents necessary to further the acquisition and development of
this and other property for the Kent City Jail - Aukeen District
Court site.
Section 5. Any act consistent with the authority and
prior to the effective date of this ordinance is hereby ratified
and confirmed.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
