AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Washin'iWr�,";'
annexing to the City certain properties for
municipal purposes at the Armstrong Springs Well'3 6iPI'VA",
Site [Armstrong Springs Annexation].

WHEREAS, the City of Kent has acquired certain ptopert'
in King County, for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined it would be in the best
interests of City to annex said property to the City for municipal
purposes; and
M WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW, various

proceedings were held; and
WHEREAS, Notice of Intent to Annex was filed with the
King County Boundary Review Board; and
M WHEREAS, in File Number 1190, the Boundary Review Board
has issued its RESOLUTION AND HEARING DECISION approving the
annexation; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35A.14.300 provides for such annexations by
majority vote of the legislative body of a Code City; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF KENT WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described property:
That portion of the Northeast quarter of Section
36, Township 22 North, Range 5 East, W.M., in King
County Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of
A.N. Graves Road, also known as County Road No.
962, with the north line of the south half of the
northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of said
Section 36; Thence southeasterly at right angles to
the centerline of the said road to a line 400 feet
southeasterly of and parallel with the centerline
of said County Road No. 962; then southwesterly
along said parallel line 225 feet to the TRUE POINT
OF BEGINNING of this description; Thence continuing
southwesterly along said parallel line to the west
line of said northeast quarter; then southerly
along said west line to the northerly margin of the
Northern Pacific Railway right-of-way; Thence
easterly along said northerly margin to the east
line of said northeast quarter; Thence northerly
along said east line to the north line of the south
half of the northeast quarter of the northeast
quarter of said Section 36; Thence westerly along
said north line to the west line of the northeast
quarter of the northeast quarter of said Section
36; Thence south 0018148" east along said west line
to a point which bears north 89031112w east from
the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; Thence south 89031112w
west to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Kent for
,municipal purposes.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Kent shall send
to the office of the Clerk of the County Council, seven (7)
certified copies of this ordinance together with a copy of
correspondence dated October 21, 1983 from G. Brice Martin,
Executive Secretary, King County Boundary Review Board, together
with the resolution and hearing decision in Boundary Review Board
File Number 1190 concerning this annexation.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
