3C ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Washington
relating to the Zoning Code; Codifying the
existing Zoning Code into the Kent City Code by
adding a new Title 15 to the Kent City Code.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Code was approved by the Kent City
Council on June 4, 1973 and, has subsequently been frequently
amended; and
WHEREAS, the Kent Zoning Code has been separate and
distinct from the Kent City Code; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of uniformity in
maintenance and administration of municipal laws to have a
consistent code format; and,
WHEREAS, no substantive changes shall result from the
ecodification of the Kent Zoning Code into the Kent City Code;
NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Kent Zoning Code, first adopted
by the Kent City Council on June 4, 1973, as amended, is
recodified as Title 15, Kent City Code. Title 15 is hereby added
to the Kent City Code.
Section 2. A copy of the recodified Zoning Code, Title
15 Kent City Code, is filed herewith in the Offices of the City
Clerk of the City of Kent.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
