HomeMy WebLinkAbout2388ORDINANCE NO. .3 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Washington, relating to budgets and finance; adopting the 1983 Budget; providing for wage adjustments for nonrepresented employees. WHEREAS, the tax estimates and Budget for the City of Kent, Washington, for the year 1983 have been prepared and filed as provided by laws of the State of Washington, and the said Budget having been printed for distribution and notice published in the official paper of the City of Kent setting the time and place for hearing on same and said notice stating that all taxpayers calling at the office of the City Clerk would be furnished a copy of the Budget and that any objections to said levy therein contemplated by the Council would be heard at the time and place stated in said notice, NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. BUDGET. The wages of non represented employees, effective January 1, 1983, shall be those wages set forth in the 1982 SALARY SCHEDULE AND JOB CLASSIFICATION at pages VIII -1, 2 of the 1982 FINAL BUDGET, plus four percent (0). The City's contribution for dependent medical care shall be increased by five (5) dollars. All other wages and benefits, previously authorized, are continued in force and effect. Section 3. The City Administrator shall administer the annual budget and in doing so may authorize adjustments to the extent that they are consistent with the budget approved herein. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
