AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, amending Section I, Part A of the
Regulations Implementing the Uniform Relocation
Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies
Acts of 1970 and 1971 as adopted by Ordinance 2037.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1, Part A of the Regulations
Implementing the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property
Acquisition Policies Acts of 1970 and 1971 as adopted by Ordinance
2037 which reads as follows:
PURPOSE
"These regulations are designed to insure
that the City acts in compliance with the
Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real
Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970
and the Uniform Relocation Assistance and
Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of
1971, RCW 8.26. These regulations should be
applied to any project undertaken by the
City which involves the acquisition of real
property or the displacement of any person."
is hereby amended to read as follows:
PURPOSE
"These regulations are designed that the
City acts in compliance with the Uniform
Relocation Assistance and Real Property
Acquisition Act of 1970 and the Uniform
Relocation Assistance and Real Property
Acquisition Act of 1971, RCW 8.26. These
regulations shall be applied to any projects
undertaken by the City of Kent which involve
the acquisition of real property or dis-
placement of any person; provided, however,
that the requirements of Part "B" of this
Ordinance shall not be applicable to any
such projects the cost of which is not
financed in whole or in part by a federal or
state agency, and which involve 10 or less
displaced persons, except on request of the
Director of Public Works and approval by the
City Council."
section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in

force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
