ORDINANCE NO. ��' 1
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, vacating Kent Estates Plat, a record-
ed plat in the City of Kent.
WHEREAS, a proper application was filed for the vacation
of a plat within the City of Kent, and
WHEREAS, thereafter, the Kent City Council did, by reso-
lution, fix the time when said petition would be heard and deter-
mined by the Kent City Council or a committee thereof, to wit:
Monday, June 16, 1980 at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Kent, Washington, and
WHEREAS, after passage of said resolution, the City Clerk
of the City of Kent gave twenty days notice of the pendency of saic
petition by written notice posted in three of the most public
places in the City of Kent and a like notice in conspicuous places
in the plat sought to be vacated; said notice containing the in-
formation required therein by the laws of the State of Washington
and the ordinances of the City of Kent, and
WHEREAS, the Kent Planning Director has processed said
petition and secured the technical facts pertinent to the question
of said vacation and also written approval or rejection thereof
by the Water, Sewer and Street Departments of the City of Kent,an(
WHEREAS, the hearing on said petition was held in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Kent at 8 o'clock
p.m. on the 16th day of June, 1980, and it appearing at said hear-
ing that the granting of the petition for vacation of said plat
would not be a menace or inconvenience to the traveling public or
to any other persons in the City of Kent, Washington, NOW, THERE-
FORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Kent Estates Plat recorded in Volume 87
of Plats, pages 12 and 13, records of King County Washington, more
particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorpo-
rated herein by reference be and the same hereby is vacated.
Section 2. The above referenced vacation is expressly
conditioned on the following:
Section 3. No vested rights shall be affected by the
provisions of this Ordinance.
11 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided

Reservation of a 60 foot right-of-way through
the plat from the north property line to the
south property line with the intersection at
SE 256th Street lined up with 109th Avenue SE.
B.
Retention of the 42 foot right-of-way for
SE 256th Street.
C.
Retention of that part of the 30 foot right-
of-way for SE 252nd Street beginning with its
intersection with the north -south street and

extending easterly to the easterly boundary of
said vacated plat.
D.
Grant of a 30 foot wide right-of-way along the
projected alignment of SE 252nd Street from its
intersection with the north -south street to the
westerly boundary of the vacated plat.
Section 3. No vested rights shall be affected by the
provisions of this Ordinance.

Range 5 East, W.M., in King County, Washington, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the north right of way line of
southeast 256th Street, said point bearing north 1°17'03"
east 42.0 feet from the south quarter corner of Section 20,
Township 22 North, Range 5 East W.M, and proceeding;
thence along said right of way line south 88°27'52" east
503.88 feet to the west line of the east 156 feet of said
subdivision;
