ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of
Kent, Washington, amending Section 3
of Ordinance 2245.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance 2245 which reads
as follows:
"Section 3. Definitions.
1. Tree '- shall mean any living woody
plant characterized by one main stem or trunk and
many branches, and having a diameter of six (6)
inches or more measured at three (3) feet above
ground level.
2. Stream, Creek, Tributa - shall meani
any existing watercourse identi-i e in the document
titled, Green River Basin Drainage Study, and on
file in the Kent arming epartment offices."
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 3. Definitions. �
1. Tree - shall mean any living woody
plant characterized by one main stem or trunk and
many branches, and having a diamter of six (6)
inches or more measured at three (3) feet above
ground level.
2. Stream, Creek, and Watercourse - shall
mean a course or route eit er as formed y nature,
or as altered or created by human activity, and
generally consisting of a channel with a bed, banks,
or sides, substantially throughout its length, a-
long which surface waters, with some regularity
naturally and normally flow or drain from higher to
lower lands as:
a. Identified in the Green River
Basin Drainage Stu y an its maps,
or;
b. In the case of incorrect locations
of watercourse on the maps, the
actual condition and location on
the ground as determined by the
Code official shall control.
3. Code Official - shall mean the City
Administrator or his esignated representative."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.1.
