AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, fixing the compensation for
�.,. City Council members and amending Section
-� 1 of Ordinance 1112 as previously amended
by Ordinance 1826.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 1112, entitled "An
Ordinance of the City of Kent, fixing the compensation for City
Councilmen for attending Council Meetings", passed November 20,
1961 and approved November 20, 1961, and previously amended by
Ordinance 1826 passed the 4th day of June, 1973 and which reads
as follows:
"Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section
5, Chapter 251, Laws of Washington, First Extra
Session, 1971 (RCW 35A.12.070) each City Council-
man of the City of Kent, as his next elected term
commences, shall be paid a salary of $200 per month."
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section
5, Chapter 251, Laws of Washington, First Extra
Session, 1971 (RCW 35A.12.070) each City Council -
member of the City of Kent, as his or her next
elected term commences, shall be paid a salary of
$300 per month."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law. 7
