AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, amending Sections 7A of
Ordinance 1775 as amended by Ordinances
1820 and 1955, relating to delinquent
utility bills.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 7A of Ordinance 1775 as amended by Ordinance
1820 as amended by Ordinance 1955 which reads as follows:
"7A. Delinquent Water Bill
When a charge for water service is delinquent, the service
shall be subject to shut-off without notice to the customer.
The service shall not be restored until full payment of
the delinquent account is received, together with a water
turn -on charge of three (3) dollars.
Whenever a water service is in the name of a renter, tenant
or lessee, and is subject to turn-off for delinquency, the
Utilities Department will send a duplicate notice of
delinquency to the owner of record shown on the application
for service."
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"7A. Delinquent Water Bill

shall be subject to shut-off without notice to the customer.

off/on charge of twenty-five (25) dollars.
lVhenevbr a water service is in the name of a renter, tenant
or lessee, and is subject to turn-off for delinquency, the
Utilities Department will send a duplicate notice of
delinquency to the owner of record shown on the application
for service."
