ORDINANCE NO. r'>�
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, repealing Ordinance 1662 and 1710
of the City of Kent and providing for disburse-
ment of monies in funds created by said ordi-
nances.
WHEREAS, the City by Ordinance 1662 created a Civic
Improvement Fund and by Ordinance 1710 a Repair/Demolition Trust
Fund, and
WHEREAS, the funds have had very limited activity
since their creation and none in either fund since 1976, and
WHEREAS, the original intent of these funds can be
carried out through the normal budget process within the operation
of the City's General Fund, NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance 1662 which created the Civic
Improvement Fund for the City of Kent be and the same hereby is
repealed, with the monies in the fund to be disbursed as follows:
A. The sum of $201.00 to the Kent Police Department
to be deposited into the department's "Buy Fund"
B. The balance in the fund be transferred to the
General Fund to be expended as recommended by
the Kent Arts Commission subject to approval by
the Kent City Council.
Section 2. Ordinance 1710 which created the Repair/
Demolition Trust Fund be and the same hereby is repealed with
the monies in the fund to be transferred to the General Fund.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its approval, passage and
publication as provided by law. ,
