�. AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
n� q Washington, providing for the condemnation
aC and acquisition of certain property and prop-
( j erty rights in the City of Kent for the pur-
pose of widening and improving South 180th
Street, a public street in the City of Kent.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Attorney for the City of Kent
ie and he is hereby authorized and directed to purchase and or in-
3titute and prosecute to determination in the Superior Court of the
State of Washington, County of King, an action in the name of the
�ity of Kent for condemnation and acquisition of the following de-
scribed property and property rights situated in the City of Kent,
�ounty of King, State of Washington, for the purpose of providing
for the widening and improving of South 180th Street, a public
street in the City of Kent together with easements for roadway,
utility and storm drainage purposes over, upon, across and under
certain of the following described properties:
Parcel 36 & 37 (Tiede -Gillette)
That portion of the Henry Adams Donation Claim
#43, in Section 36, Township 23 North, Range 4
East, W.M., King County, Washington, described
as follows:
Beginning at a point 30 feet South and 745.75
feet West of the Northeast corner thereof, on
the South line of South 180th Street;
thence North 88022116" West 110 feet along said
South line;
thence South 1037144" West 5 feet;
thence South 88022116" East 110 feet parallel
with said South line;
thence North 1037144" East to POB.
Contains an area of 550 Sq.Ft. or 0.013 acres

Sound Power & Light right-of-way;
thence Southerly along said East margin 30 feet,
to the True Point of Beginning;
thence West parallel with said North line 100 ft.,
more or less, to the West margin of the Puget
Sound Power & Light right-of-way;
thence Southerly, along said West margin 15 feet;

Section 2. That the acquiring of said land for the
purpose herein mentioned is for public use and necessity.
Section_ 3. Payment for land use herein described to be
acquired is to be made from City of Kent General Revenue Funds,
Forward Thrust Fund, Local Improvement District Funds, and from
other City of Kent general funds which may be allocated for the
purpose.
Section 4. Nothing in this Ordinance shall be con-
strued as a waiver by City of Kent of its rights to decline to
take and to pay for said land after the amount of damages has been
ascertained and within the time allowed by law.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided by law. ,
