ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, prohibiting filing of applica-
tions for rezones, conditional use permits
and annexations in that part of the City
commonly known as the East Hill area, and
setting a time limit on said prohibition.
WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution 913 passed
at a Regular Mketing January 19, 1981, prohibited the filing of
applications for rezones, conditional use permits or annexations
for that part of the City known as the East Hill area, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City
Council at a Regular Meeting of February 18, 1981, to determine
whether the prohibition should be extended for a time certain pend-
ing revision of the East Hill Plan portion of the City's Compre-
hensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, public testimony was taken and considered by
the Council at the public hearing and it was determined to keep
the prohibition in effect for a period of ten months, NOW, THERE-
FORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The prohibition against filing of applica-
tions for rezones, conditional use permits and annexations in that
part of the city commonly known as the East Hill area and which is
described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference be and the same hereby is continued.
Section 2. The term of the prohibition shall be ten
months from the effective date of this Ordinance and the prohibi-
tion shall terminate at that time unless the Council takes further
action to extend the term of the prohibition beyond the ten month
period.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided by law.
