AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, relating to planning and rezoning,
amending Section l of Ordinance 2088 and cor-
recting an erroneous legal description con-
tained therein.
WHEREAS, the Kent City Council did on the first day of
May, 1978 approved a rezone of certain property in the City of
Kent from R-1 to MRM under the file of the "Jay K. Anderson Re-
zone", and
WHEREAS, during the Planning Commission hearings on
said rezone it was recommended that only half of the property
originally requested for rezone be rezoned, and
WHEREAS, at the April 17, 1978 City Council meeting
the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and on
May 1, 1978 Ordinance 2088 was adopted, and
WHEREAS, the legal description in Section 1 of Ordi-
nance 2088 was in fact the description for the entire parcel for
which rezone had been requested, rather than the portion which
actually received rezone approval, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Section 1 of Ordi-
nance 2088 to provide the correct legal description for the area
actually rezoned, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
as follows:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 2088 which reads
"Section 1. The following described land situated
in the City of Kent, County of King, State of
Washington, and presently zoned as R-1 (Single
Family Residential) and more particularly describ-
ed as follows:
The East half of the East half of the Northwest
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 20,
Township 22 North, Range 5 East, W.M., King
County, Washington, EXCEPT the North 20 feet
for road".
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Rection 1. The following described land situated
in -the City of Kent, County of King, State of Wash-
ington, and presently zoned as R-1 (Single Family
Residential) and more particularly described as
follows:
The South 1/2 of the East 1/2 of the East 1/2
of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 20,
c'7 Township 22 North, Range 5 East, W.M., King
C'7 County, Washington, EXCEPT the North 20 feet

for road".
`D is hereby rezoned to MRM (Medium Density Multi -Family Residential)

co Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided by law.
