ORDINANCE NO.,
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, vacating a portion of South
196th Street, a public street in the City
of Kent.
WHEREAS, a proper application was filed for the vaca-
tion of a portion of a public street in the City of Kent, and
WHEREAS, thereafter, the Kent City Council did, by
resolution fix a time when said petition would be heard and deter-
mined by the Kent City Council or a committee thereof, to -wit:
Tuesday, September 2, 1980 at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Kent, Washington,
and
WHEREAS, after the passage of said resolution, the Cit
Clerk of the City of Kent gave twenty (20) days notice of the
pendency of said petition by a written notice posted in three (3)
of the most public places in the City of Kent and a like notice
in conspicuous places on the street sought to be vacated; said
notice containing the information required therein by the Laws of
the State of Washington and the ordinances of the City of Kent;
and
WHEREAS, the Kent Planning Director has processed said
petition and secured the technical facts pertinent to the question
of said vacation which includes a sketch of the proposed vacaction
and also written approval or rejection thereof by the water,
sewer and street departments of the city of Kent; and
WHEREAS, the hearing on said petition was held in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall of the city of Kent at 8:00
o'clock p.m. on the 2nd day of September, 1980, and it appearing
further that the granting of said petition for the vacation of said
street will not be a menace or inconvenience to the traveling
public or to any other persons using the streets and alleys or
the City of Kent, Washington.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,

Section 1. The following described street within the
city limits of Kent, Washington, and which is more fully described
herewith:
A parcel of land situate in the NW quarter of
Section 2, Township 22 North, Range 4 East,
W.M., City of Kent, King County, State of Wash-
ington, according to an official plat of said
land filed in the District Land Office, bounded
and described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 11,
Block 6, as shown on the Plat of Southcenter
Corporate Park, as recorded under File Number
8003140871, in the records of said. County, said
corner being the beginning of a non -tangent
curve concave southeasterly from which point a
radial line bears South 13006151" East, 330.00
feet;
thence southwesterly along said curve through
a central angle of 2705411411, 160.71 feet;
thence North 31038108" East, 75.45 feet;
thence South 88058119" East, 34.86 feet;.
thence North 31038108" East, 11,62 feet;
thence South 88058119" East, 61.19 feet, to
the Point of Beginning.
is hereby vacated.
Section 2. No vested rights shall be affected by the
provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided by law.
