ORDINANCE NO. -
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, creating a Finance Department Pet-
'�}�/ Cash Account, establishing the amount there -
authorizing the Supervisor of Treasury Ac -
'counting to transfer monies to the account, and
providing for reimbursements to the account and
repealing Ordinance 1740.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
QRD`cif"1 AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby established in the Finance
epartment a special account to be known as the Finance Department
Petty Cash Account.
Section 2. The amount of the account shall not exceed
Four Hundred ($400.00) Dollars and the Supervisor of Treasury Ac-
counting is hereby authorized to establish the account in amount
directed by the Finance Director.
Section 3. The Supervisor of Treasury Accounting is
hereby authorized to issue checks by way of reimbursement to the
Finance Department Petty Cash Account whenever necessary to keep
the account solvent but in no event, less often than once per
month. A reimbursement voucher shall accompany each payment to
the account with receipts substantiating the expenditures attach-
ed thereto.
Section 4. In no event shall the Finance Department
Petty Cash Account be used for personal cash advances secured by
check or other I.O.U.
Section 5. Ordinance 1740 be and the same hereby is
repealed.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided by law.
