AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, �( Washington, relating to the Public Works Improvement Plan Approval and Inspection Fees. �O THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Public Works Department shall be responsible for the plan review, plan approval, inspection and acceptance of all public works improvements, such as streets, sidewalks and walkways, street lighting systems, storm drainage systems (public and private) and utilities, and shall make a charge therefore to the developer. The charges shall be based on a percentage of the estimated construction cost as follows: 2% of the first $100,000 1-1/2% of anything over $100,000 but less than $200,000 1% of that amount over $200,000 In all cases the minimum fee shall be no less than $200. The developer will be required to submit separate cost esti- mates for each item of improvement. These will be checked by the Public Works Department for accuracy. Monies derived from the above charges shall be deposited to the general fund of the City. The fees are due and payable prior to the approval of the construction plans. Section 2.
