AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, relating to parking and speed
zones; amending Sections 10.06.230, Thirty
Minute Parking nes, and adding
Section 10.08.4to Section 10.08.020,
Changing Speed Limit, of the Kent City Code.

WASHINGTON DOES
Section 1. Kent City Code 10.06.230 is amended as
10.06.230. THIRTY MINUTE PARKING ZONES. At such times
as the Traffic Engineer shall place the appropriate sign or signs,
it shall be illegal to park any motor vehicle or other vehicle for
an uninterrupted period in excess of thirty minutes at the
following locations:
First Avenue: The first stall north of Meeker Street
First Avenue:
Second Avenue:
Second Avenue:
Gowe Street:
on the west side of First Avenue.
The first stall south of Meeker Street
on the west side of First Avenue.
The first stall south of Meeker Street
on the east side of Second Avenue.
The first stall south of Meeker Street
on the west side of Second Avenue.
The first stall east of Railroad Avenue
on Gowe Street, north side.
Section 2. Kent City Code 10.08.020 is amended to add
Section 10.08.100.
10.08.020. INCREASING OR DECREASING SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN!
ZONES. It is determined on the basis of an engineering and traf-
fic investigation that the speed permitted by state law upon some
of the following streets is less and, in some cases, more than is
necessary for sale operation of vehicles thereon by reason of the
designation and sign posting of said streets as arterial highways,
and by reason of widely spaced intersections and by reason of
traffic thereof as disclosed by studies, and it is declared that
the speed limit shall be as hereinafter set forth on those streets'
or parts of streets herein designated, at the times specified,
when signs are erected giving notice thereof, but in no case shall
the speed limit exceed fifty-five miles per hour.
