ORDINANCE NO. _!
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, authorizing the temporary reopening
of Russell Road to through automotive traffic
between Meeker Street and James Street (S.E.
240th Street) closed by Ordinance No. 2616.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals and Findings.
1.1 By Ordinance No. 2616, the Kent City Council, among
other things, authorized the closure of Russell Road to through
automotive traffic between Meeker Street and James Street (S.E.
240th Street).
1.2 The Kent City Council now is in the process of
making certain road improvements through Local Improvement
District 320, construction of such requires the temporary opening
of a portion of Russell Road to through vehicular traffic. It is
in the public interest to provide for such temporary opening.
Section 2. The Public Works Department, working in
conjunction with other necessary departments, be and is hereby
authorized to temporarily open Russell Road to through vehicular
traffic between Meeker Street and James Street (S.E. 240th
Street). Such temporary opening shall be only for that time
necessary for the construction and road improvements related to
L.I.D. 320.
Section 3. Any act consistent with the authority and
prior to the effective date of this ordinance is hereby ratified
and confirmed.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
