AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, providing for the Kent Municipal
Golf Course generally bounded on the south by
West Meeker, on the east by Russell Road, on
the West by Highway 516, and on the northwest
by the Green River; providing for the
condemnation, appropriation, taking and
damaging of land and other property therefore;
and adding certain properties to those set
forth in Kent City Ordinance No. 2714; all as
part of the development and construction of the
Kent Municipal Golf Course.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The public convenience, use and necessity
demand the development and construction of an 18-hole regulation
golf course for citizens and others on real property in the City
of Kent, King County, Washington, in the area generally bounded on
i the south by West Meeker Street, on the east by Russell Road, on
the west by Highway 516, on the northwest by the Green River, and
more particularly described in Exhibits A and B, attached hereto
and incorporated herein by this reference, adding certain
properties to those set forth in Kent City Ordinance No. 2714.
Section 2. All lands, rights, privileges and other
property lying within the limits of the lots, blocks, and tracts
of land described in Section 1 above, and Exhibits A and B
thereto, are hereby condemned, appropriated, taken and damaged for
the purpose of the City of Kent Municipal Golf Course; and lands,
rights, privileges and other property necessary to be taken, used
or damaged in the development and construction of the Golf Course,
as set forth in Section 1 above, and Exhibits A and B thereto, are
hereby condemned, appropriated, taken and damaged for the public
use of such purpose, and all lands, rights, privileges and other
properties are to be taken, damaged and appropriated only after
just compensation has been made, or paid into the court for the
owners thereof in the manner provided by law.

Section 3. That the entire cost of the acquisitions
provided for by this ordinance shall be paid by the General Fund
of the City of Kent, or such other funds of the City of Kent as
may be provided by law.
Section 4. The City Attorney be and she is hereby
authorized and directed to begin and prosecute the actions and
proceedings in a manner provided by law to condemn, take, damage
and appropriate the lands and other property necessary to carry
out the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided bw.

W.M., in King County, Washington described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the west line of the county
road with the Sections 14 anEl 23, Township 22 North, Range 4
East, W.M., in King County, Washington, which point is

3,559.9 feet west of the section corner common to Sections
13, 14, 23 and 24, in said Township and Range;
thence►south 9058' east along the west line of said county
road, a distance of 257.95 feet;
thence south 20°35' east along the west boundary of said
road 1,918.6 feet;

road 322.3 feet; to a round concrete monument 6 inches in
diameter, 2 feet long, set 2 feet in the ground;
thence west a distance of 800.6 feet to a point on the north
boundary line of Peck Extension County Road, which is the

thence west 699.3 feet;
thence south 117.4 feet;
thence west 296.13 feet to a point on the right bank of
White River marked by a round concrete monument 6 inches in
diameter and 2 feet long, set 2 feet in the ground;
thence on the same course west 50 feet, more or less, to the
water line of the right bank of the White River;
thence southwesterly along the water line of White River to
its intersection with the north boundary of the Peck
Extension County Road;
thence northeasterly along the boundary line of said road a
distance of 1,261 feet, more or less, to the place of
beginning,
EXCEPT that portion thereof lying southeasterly,of a line
drawn parallel with and 75 feet distant northwesterly when
measured at right angles from the center line and Secondary
State Highway 5A Green River vicinity and southwesterly of a
line drawn north 26006136" west; as condemned by the State
of Washington in Superior%Court Cause No. 507854.
