AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, relating to parking and direction
of travel restrictions, amending Kent City Code
repealing Subsections 10.06.022, 10.06.027, and
10.06.035, and adding Subsections 10.06.039
through 10.06.069 to prohibit parking along
designated city streets.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 10.06 of the Kent City Code is
amended to repeal Subsections 10.06.022, 10.06.027, and 10.06.035
and to add Subsections 10.06.039 through 10.06.067 as follows:
10.06.010. NO PARKING ZONES. At such time as the
Traffic Engineer shall place the appropriate sign or signs, it
shall be illegal to park any motor or other vehicle at any time or
the following roadways or portions thereof:
10.06.011. East Valley Highway (84th Avenue South and
Central Avenue): from the Green River to South 192nd Street (botr
sides).
10.06.012. Meeker Street:
A. From Sixth Avenue to the Kent -Des Moines Road (both
sides),
10.06.013. Smith Street:
Avenue (both sides);
10.06.014. Fourth Avenue:
228th Street (both sides);
from Lincoln Avenue to Jason
from Willis Street to South
10.06.015. Kent-Kangley Road: from S.E. 256th Street ti
the centerline of 116th Avenue S.E. (both sides);
10.06.016. East Gowe Street: from Central Avenue to
, Kennebeck Avenue (both sides);
10.06.017. SR99 (Pacific Highway South): from a point
one thousand six hundred thirty feet south of the intersection of
South 240th Street to the intersection of South 240th Street (east
side only);
10.06.018. Pioneer Street: from one hundred seventy
feet west of the centerline of State Avenue to the centerline of
State Avenue (south side only);
10.06.019. East Titus Street:
A. From East Gowe Street to a point one hundred twenty
feet southwest to the centerline of Reiten Road (southeast side
only),
B. From a point one hundred twenty feet southwest of
the centerline of Reiten Road to Smith Street (both sides);
10.06.020. 30th Avenue South: from Kent -Des Moines Road
to South 240th Street (both sides);
10.06.021. South 240th Street:
A. I-5 South to Pacific Highway South (both sides),
B. From 27th Avenue South to Pacific Highway South
(both sides);

Section 2. Any act consistent with the authority and prior
to the effective date of this ordinance is hereby ratified and

Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
