AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, relating to land use and zoning,
establishing the zoning of the Wilcox
Annexation generally located on the south side
of S.E. 248th St. between 104th Ave. S.E. and
116th Ave. S.E. from R1-20, Single Family
Residential, to MRG, Garden Density Multifamily
Residential.
WHEREAS, the property above described, known as the
Wilcox Annexation, was annexed to the City on December 16, 1985
under Ordinance 2599, and was automatically zoned R1-20, Single
Family Residential; and
WHEREAS, on November 5, 1986, the Hearing Examiner held a
public hearing to consider the rezone of the area described as:
The west 165 feet of the Northeast 1/4 of the
Southeast 1/4 of Section 20, Township 22 North,
Range 5 East, W.M. Except the north 30 feet
conveyed to King County for road by deeds recorded
under Auditor's File numbers 409359 and 5098729.
Situated in the County of King, State of Washington.
WHEREAS, the Hearing Examiner recommended to the City
Council that the property be rezoned from R1-20, Single Family
Residential, to MRG, Garden Density Multifamily Residential; and
WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a public hearing on
February 17, 1987; NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The findings and recommendations of the
Hearing Examination set forth in the Wilcox Annexation Zoning,
Findings and Recommendations of the Hearing Examiner for the City
of Kent, which is on file with the Kent City Clerk, are hereby
adopted and the findings are concurred with for this site.

Section 2. Zoning for this site, generally located on
the south side of S.E. 248th Street between 116th Ave. S.E. and
104th Ave. S.E., and legally described as:
The west 165 feet of the Northeast 1/4 of the
Southeast 1/4 of Section 20, Township 22 North,
Range 5 East, W.M. Except the north 30 feet
conveyed to King County for road by deeds recorded
under Auditor's File numbers 409359 and 5098729.
Situated in the County of King, State of Washington.
King County, Washington, is hereby changed from R1-20,
Single Family Residential, to MRG, Garden Density Multifamily
Residential.
Section 3. Any act consistent with the authority and
prior to the effective date of this ordinance is hereby ratified
and confirmed.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
