ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, relating to land use and zoning,
providing for the rezoning of property
described as Lot 11, Block 4, Federal Highway
Addition, according to the Plat Recording in
Volume 30 of Plats, pg. 1 in King County
Washington, except the North 100 feet, thereof
from MRH, High Density Multifamily Residential
to GC, General Commercial.

WHEREAS, the Hearing Examiner held a public hearing to
consider the rezone of the area described as Lot 11, Block 4,
Federal Highway Addition, according to the Plat Recording in
Volume 30 of Plats, pg. 1 in King County, Washington, except the
North 100 feet thereof, on September 17, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Hearing Examiner recommended to the City
Council that the property be rezoned from MRH, high density
multifamily residential to GC, general commercial;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The findings and recommendations of the
Hearing Examiner as set forth in the document entitled, Fortune
Group, Findings and Recommendations of the Hearing Examiner for
the City of Kent, which is on file with the Kent City Clerk, is
hereby adopted and the findings are concurred with for this site.
Section 2. The zoning for the site, located generally on
the eastside of 30th Avenue South, approximately 200 feet north of
South 240th Street, or 23850 30th Avenue South, and legally
described as Lot 11, Block 4, Federal Highway Addition, according
to the Plat Recording in Volume 30 of Plats, pg. 1, in King County
Washington, except the north 100 feet, thereof, is hereby changed
from MRH High Density Multifamily Residential to GC General
Commercial.
Section 3. Any act consistent with the authority and
prior to the effective date of this ordinance is hereby ratified
and confirmed.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
