Aid ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, adding two new subsections to
9.20.36, and also amending :.20.88 KCC,
n referring specifically to public disturbance
Ch Q noises to the Kent City Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI"iY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

Section 1. There is hereby added to Kent City Code
9.20.36, the following new subsections:

9.20.36 Specific Prohibitions.
h. Operating or permitting to be operated, any
sound
musical instrument, whistle, amplifier, stereo, jukebox,
radio, TV, or other device capable of reproducing loud and raucous'
j!noises, which emanates frequently, repetitively, or continuously
from any building, structure, vehicles, property., such as sound
originating from a band session or social gathering.
I. Using and permitting any loud and unreasonable
noise which injures or endangers the comfort, repose, health or
safety of persons or in any way renders persons insecure in life,
or the use of property.
Section 2. KCC 9.20.88 is amended as follows:
9.20.88 Violation: Misdemeanor. Any person who
violates any of the provisions of this chapter or fails to comply
with any of its requirements shall, upon conviction thereof, be
fined not more than $500 or be imprisoned for not more than 186
days, or both. Each day succi violation continues shall be
considered a separate offense.
Nothing contained in this chapter shall prevent the City
from taking any other lawful action as is necessary to prevent
remedy of any violation.
Section 3. Any act consistent with the authority and
prior to the effective date of this ordinance is hereby ratified
and confirmed.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
