AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington relating to compensation of City
Councilmembers and the Council President;
amending Section 2.04.04 Kent City Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Section 2.04.04 Kent City Code is amended as
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 5,
Chapter 251, Laws of Washington, First Extra
Session, 1971 (RCW 35A.12.070) each City
councilmember of the City of Kent, as his or
her next elected term commences, shall be paid
a salary of (Fthree-)) four hundred dollars per
month. Effective Januar 1 1987 for council -
members commenc�n a term on or after
JanuarX 1 1986, shall be paid a salary of five
Vu-ndred dollars per month. The duly elected
resident of the City Councils a l effective
January e paid an additional salary
of one hundred dollars per month in a ition to
the regu ar counci mem er salary.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
