ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, relating to traffic; amending
K.C.C. 10.06.04 (Ordinance 2303) establishing
"No Parking Zones", and amending K.C.C.
10.08.08 (Ordinance 2399, 2305, 2265, 2240,
2163) relating to traffic speeds upon certain
streets within the City of Kent.
THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
Section 1. K.C.C. 10.06.04 is amended as follows:
10.06.04. NO PARKING ZONES. At such time as the
Traffic Engineer shall place the appropriate sign or!
signs, it shall be illegal to park any motor or
other vehicle at any time on the following roadways
or portions thereof:
(1) East Valley Highway (84th Avenue South and
Central Avenue): from the Green River to South
192nd Street (both sides).
(2) Meeker Street:
(a) From Sixth Avenue to the West Valley
Highway (both sides),
(b) From a point seventy feet west of
Russell Road to a point eight
hundred six feet west of Russell
Road (north side only);
(3) Smith Street: from Lincoln Avenue to
Jason Avenue (both sides);
(4) Fourth Avenue: from Willis Street to
South 228th Street (both sides);
(5) Kent-Kangley Road: from S.E. 256th Stree
to the centerline of 116th Avenue S.E. both sides;
(6) East Gowe Street: from a point two
hundred thirty feet east of the centerline of State
Avenue to East Titus Street (both sides);
(7) SR 99 (Pacific Highway South): from a
point one thousand six hundred thirty feet south of
the intersection of South 240th Street to the inter-
section of South 240th Street (east side only);
(8) Pioneer Street: from one hundred seventy;
feet west of the centerline of State Avenue to the
centerline of State Avenue (south side only);
(9) East Titus Street:
(a) From East Gowe Street to a point one'
hundred twenty feet southwest to the
centerline of Reiten Road (southeast
side only),
(b) From a point one hundred twenty feet'
southwest of the centerline of
Reiten Road to Smith Street (both
sides);
(10) 30th Avenue South: from Kent -Des Moines
Road to South 240th Street (west side only);
(11) South 240th Street:
( a ) From ((39th A o* ue—Geia) ) I-5 to
Pacific Highway South (north side
only).
(b) From 27th Avenue South to Pacific
Highway South (south side only).
(12) 104th Avenue S.E. (Benson Road or SR 515)
from a point one hundred feet north of the inter-
section of S.E. 236th Place to a point six hundred
fifty-nine feet south of the intersection of James
Street (South 240th Street --both sides);
(13) West Cloudy Street: from North 5th Avenin
to North 4th Avenue (both sides).
(14) Trailer or semi -trailer parking: Upon
any City street, if the vehicle is a trailer or
semi -trailer, unless the trailer or semi -trailer is
attached to a vehicle by which it may be propelled
or drawn; provided, that in case of accident such
trailer or semi -trailer may be moved to the side of
the street, and, if a good and sufficient red signal
be displayed at both ends thereof during the hours
of darkness, such trailer or semi -trailer may be
permitted or allowed to remain for a period not
exceeding twenty-four hours of pending removal
except that such trailer or semi -trailer shall not
remain upon any portion of a City street where
standing or parking is limited or prohibited for a
period longer than is necessary to effect its
removal.
(15) Lincoln Avenue from Smith Street to Meeke
Street (both sides).
(16) 101st Avenue SE: from the intersection
of SE 256th to a point 851 feet south of SE 256th
(both sides).

(17) Lincoln Avenue: from the intersection o:
Meeker Street to the intersection of James Street
(both sides).
(18) 104th Avenue SE; Benson Road: From the
intersection of SE 248th Street to a point 676 feet
south of SE 260 Street (both sides).

Section 5. K.C.C. 10.08.08 (47) is amended as follows:

all times.
Section 6. New Subsections 75, 76, 77 and 78 are added
to K.C.C. 10.08.08 as follows:
(75) SE 264th Street from the intersection of Crow
Road to the intersection of 108th Ave SE . 35
MPH at all times.
(76) SE 260th Street from the intersection of 97th
Place South to the intersection of 108th Avenue SE
. 35 MPH at all times.

(77) 101st Avenue SE from the intersection of SE
256th Street to the intersection of SE 260th Street
. 30 MPH at all times.
(78) Crow Road from the intersection of S.E. 260th
Street to the intersection of S.E. 264th Street .
35 MPH at all times.
Section 7. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
