AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Washington,
annexing to the City certain propertied for
municipal purposes at the Kent Springs"Well Site
[Kent Springs Annexation].
WHEREAS, the City of Kent has acquired certain property
in King County, for municipal purposes;- and
WHEREAS, it has been determined it would be in the best
interests of City to annex said property to the City for municipal
purposes; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW, various
proceedings were held; and
VJHEREAS, Notice of Intent to Annex was filed with the
King County Boundary Review Board; and
WHEREAS, in File Number 1210, the Boundary Review Board
has issued its determination not to invoke jurisdiction, thereby
approving the annexation; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35A.14.300 provides for such annexations by
majority vote of the legislative body of a Code City; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described property be and the
same is hereby annexed to the City of Kent for municipal purposes:
All that portion of the Southeast quarter of
Southwest quarter of Section 33, Township 22
North, Range 6 East, W.M. in King County,
Washington lying Easterly of a line 42 feet
Easterly of and parallel with the centerline of
216th Avenue Southeast as located by survey
33-22-6-4 and lying Northerly of the North
margin of Southeast 288th Street.
Together with that portion of the Northeast
quarter of the Southwest quarter of said
Section 33 lying Easterly of a line 42 feet
Easterly of and parallel with the centerline of
216th Avenue Southeast as located by said
survey and lying Southerly of the N.P.R.
right-of-way.
Together with that portion of the Southwest
quarter of the Southeast quarter of said
Section 33 lying Northerly of the North margin
of Southeast 288th Street."

Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Kent shall send
to the office of the Clerk of the County Council, seven (7)
certified copies of this ordinance together with a copy of corre-
spondence dated October 21, 1983 from G. Brice Martin, Executive
Secretary, King County Boundary Review Board, File Number 1210
concerning this annexation.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
