AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, relating to possession of
marijuana, amending Ordinance 1787 (Kent City
Code Chapter 9.12) by adding a new section
9.12.22.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Kent City Code 9.12.22 is-aatended as follows:
9.12.22. POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA. It shall be unlawful
for any person to possess marijuana (canibis sativa). Anyone who
possesses marijuana in an amount under 40 grams is guilty of a
midemeanor.
Section 2 Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
