ORDINANCE NO. 3 1
AN ORDINANCE of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, amending Section
2.01.020 of the Kent City Code relating to
City Council meetings.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2.01.020 of the Kent City Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2.01.020. City council meetings.
The regular and other meetings of the city council shall be
held in the council chambers at the city hall unless otherwise
kdesignated by majority of the city council at a regular or

special meeting. The regular meetings shall be held on the first
and third Tuesday of each month except that during themonth of
December of each year there shall be only one regular council
meeting to be held on the second Tuesday of said month. Special

l meetings shall be held as provided by law at such times as may be
designated. Regular meetings shall convene at 7:00 p.m. If any

shall be held on the next business fe1jewing day at the same
hour.
j SECTION 2. Severability. If any section, sentence,

clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid
'i
,'or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
i; invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity
`or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance.
!' SECTION 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
!'effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after its
;;passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
