AN ORDINANCE of the City Council of e City
of Kent, Washington, amending Chapter 2.01 o e Kent
City Code relating to City Council meetings by ging the
date of regular council meetings from the t and third
Tuesday of each month to the second and t/

WHEREAS, the currently establi�Ked days for regular meetings of the city
council are the first and third Tuesday of eac)(month; and

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY OR)5AIN AS FOLLOWS:

CTION 1. Chapter 2.01 of the Kent City Code entitled "City Council"
is hereby amending Section 2.01.020 as follows:
. 2.01.020. City council meetings. The regular and other meetings
of the shall be held in the council chambers at the city hall unless otherwise
designority of the city council at a regular or special meeting. The regular

meetings shall be held on the fifrA second and 944 fourth Tuesday of each month except',
that during the month of December of each year, there shall be only one (1) regular
council meeting to be held on the second Tuesday of said month. Special meetings shall
be held as provided by law at such times as may be designated. Regular meetings shall
convene at 7:00 p.m. If any such day of a regular meeting is a legal holiday, the meeting
shall be held on the next business day at the same hour.
SECTION 2. Severability. If any one or more sections, subsections, or
sentences of this Ordinance are held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Ordinance and the same shall
remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after the date of publication as provided by law.
