~REAS, the City of Kent will not satisfactoriit accomplish and
and will delay and be unable to perform the repair and maintenance of
its city s treo ts ·.-ihich form a part of the route of primary highways,
or other city streets upon which expenditures may be authorized by the
director of highways; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Kent that the director
of highways highways perform such repair and maintenance; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Kent does hereby acknowledge
that it will not satisfactorily accomplish and will delay and be unable
to perform such repair and maintenance on such city streets and waives
notice of the director of highways thereof:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the director of highways is reques-
tedand permitted to perform such repair and maintenance to the amount
of $65.00, an amount not in excess of the amount of the money now cred-
ited or reasonably anticipated to accrue to the City of Kent in the motor
vehicle fund during the next fiscal year, such repair and maintenance
cost to be charged against the amount so credited or to be credited; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon statement of the cost of such
repair and maintenance and journal voucher therefor, approved by the City
of Kent, for all labor, equipment, material, supplies and engineering,
the State Auditor is authorized and directed to reserve and credit to
the Department of Highways in amount of such repair and maintenance any
funds credited or to be credited to the City of Knej in the motor vehi-
cle fund not to exceed the above specified sum; all in accordance with
the provisions of Chapter 41, Session Laws of 1933, as amended and sup-
plemented by Chapter 111, Session Laws of 1935.
CERTIFICATE OF PASSAGE:
Passed by the City Council of the City of Kent in regular
session on the 2nd. of May, 1938.
