The City Council of the City of Kent, at a regular
meeting, thereof'. held on he above date, l,laeaed tbe following
resolution, as a rnemorial to ti1e Legislator now in Session.
RESOLVED that we do ,W. favor the passage of house Bill No.
138, ae we belei ve that it will be detrimental to the well-
fare of the School System, by diverting moneys that was in-
tended for that purpose, and Old Age Pensions.
NAD FU.d':'hER BE IT iffir-~OLVED that we .9.9. favorthe passage of
House Bill No. 139. as it simplifies matters and outs out
a lot of red-tape and the Cities is very much in need of the
extra revenue.
AND ALSO B.t~ IT l"UrtTl:Erl .R.E~'iOLVED that we favOr the paseage
of House Bill No. 175, in eo far as it provides for the di·
vision of the net revenues, 50% to t.he State and 50% to the
Countye and Cities, but we do not favor the raising of the
net profit• above 25% ae, in our openion it would lead to
boot-leging and trouble.

each Senator and Representative of the Legielature from thie
district.
