A Resolution of the City of Kent providing
for the extermination of dogs impounded;
for the catching and boarding of said dogs
and for the redemption thereof; and for the
hiring and payment of persons in connection
therewith.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kent:
Section.l. The City Council shall have the right and it
shall be their duty to hire some person whom they Shall deem
qualified to proceed to catch and exterminate all dogs found
upon the streets in the City of Kent in violation of Ordinance
No. Lk J1}7 , and to pay him therefore a sum not in excess of
/ q_s: per dog so caught.
section 2. The City Council shall have the right and it
shall be their duty to hire someone to provide board for all
dogs impounded under said ordinance at a rate not exceeding
];2 cents per day.
Section 3. Any dogs impounded for violation of said ordinance
may be redeemed by the owner thereof in the following manner:
By paying to the City Clerk the license fee for said dog
/&c provided in said ordinance, a penalty of for each -dog so caught, and -6?2 cents per day for each day that said
dog shall have been boarded.
Section 4. If the said dog be not redeemed within three full
days after being impounded, then the said dog shall be
exterminated.
section 5. No notice of the impounding of the dog or the
extermination thereof shall be necessary.
Section 6. This resolution shall take effect and be in
force five days after. its passage.
