WHEREAS, the City of Kent is the owner of the Southwest
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 33, Township 22 North,
Range 6 East, W.M., King County, Washington, and
WHEREAS, the Northern Pacific Railway Company has a right
of way extending through the said tract of land and desires to ac-
quire additional right of way over the lands of the said City of
Kent,
IT IS niEREFORE RESOLVED: That the City of Kent do sell
to the said Northern Pacific Railway Company the following des-
cribed lands, to-wit:
Two strips of land, each fifty {50) feet in width, extending
across the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 33, in Township 22 North, of Range 6 East, W. M.,
King County, Washington, said strips lying one on each side
of and immediately adjacent to the present one hundred (100)
foot right of way of the Northern Pacific Railway Company
for its main line and lying between lines parallel with and
distant respectively fifty (50) feet and one hundred (109)
feet, measured at right angles, from and on each side of
the center line of main track of said main line as now con-
structed and oper:;ted, containing 3.10 acres, more or less;
for the sum of One Hundred and Fifty-five Dollars ($155.00), and
-IT IS FURTH:!:R RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City ~lerk of
the City of Kent be and they are authorized to consummate the sale
of the said property to the said Northern Pacific Railway Company
by making a, proper conveyance thereof and delivering the same to
the said Northern Pacific Railway Company upon payment of the said
purchase price.
PASSED by unanimous vote of the City Council this 20th
day of March, A.D. 1944.
