WHEREAS, the City of Kent has heretofore issued certain Re-
funding Vater Revenue BondP of 1935; and
:vHEREAS, of the said bo.nds, the bonds numbered 22 to 109,
I " inclusive, are now outstanding and unpaid; and I

~YHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 661 as amended by Ordinance
l~o. 662 as amended by Ordinance No. 663 of the City of Kent
" 1 authorizing the issue of said bonds, the City of Kent reserves

the right to redeem all or any of the unmatured bonde. of said
issue on any interest payment date on and after five years from
the date thereof; and
WHER~AS, May 1, 1940, is five years after the date of the
bonds and is also an interest payment date for said bonds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Kent desireE to call for redemption
bonds numbered 22 to 109, inclusive, of the Refunding Water Rev-
enue Bonde. of 1935 of the City of Kent; now, therefore,
PE IT RESOLVF.D by the City Council of the City of Kent that

enue Bonds of 1935 of the City of Kent are hereby duly called for
payment on May 1, 1940, and interest upon the bonds so called for
redemption shall ceaee upon the date named, and all of the said
bonds shall be payable at the office of the City Treasurer of the :
City of Kent.
AND BE IT FURTEER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is
'i hereby directed to file notice of such redemption in the office

/i of the City Treasurer of the said City of Kent, to publish said

\' notice of redemption in the Kent News-Journal at Kent, Washing-
ton, on the 28th day of U.arch, 1940, and to give thirty {30)
days' previous notice of such intended redemption by mail to
1j the holder or holders of said bonds if the address of such holder
