WHEREAS, the City of Kent is theowner of Lot 6, Block 9,
Washington Central Improvement Co's First Addition to Kent in
King County, Washington; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the ~roperty is no longer needed
for the purpose for which it was acquired and that the common
benefit requires its salej and
WHEREAS, the said property has been appraised in the sum of
Ten-thousand ($10,000.00)Dollarsj and
WHEREAS, the City has received from GEORGE W. HECK and
JEANNINE M. HECK, his wife, a bid for the purchase of said
property in the total amount of Ten-thousand-five-hundred ($10,500.00
Dollars, with $2,000.00 down and the balance payable at the rate
of $85.00 per month, with interest on the unpaid balance from
time to time remaining at the rate of 6% per annum;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF KENT in regular meeting assembled that the following
described property, owned by the City of Kent and situated in
Kent, King County, Washington, to-wit: Lot 6, Block ~' Washington
Central Improvement Co's First Addition to Kent is no longer
needed by the City for the purpose for which it was acquired
and that the common benefit requires its sale.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sale of said property be made to
GEORGE W. HECK and JEANNINE M. HECK, his wife, under the terms
of a standard real estate contract (except that no title insurance
shall be provided) for a purchase price of Ten-thousand-five-hun-
dred ($10,500.00)Dollars, with $2,000.00 down and the balance
payable at the rate of $85.00, or more, per month, with interest
at 6~ per annum on the unpaid balances from time to time remain-
ing;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
authorized and directed to make, enter into and deliver to the
said purchasers a real estate contract in the terms set forth
herein.
